San Diego Restaurant Recommendations
 
One of the best parts of town to find good, inexpensive restaurants is Hillcrest. Unfortunately the trolley does not go to Hillcrest, so you would have to take a cab. (It is about 2 miles from the hotel). Hillcrest also has a number of coffee shops, bars, bookshops etc. University Heights and Little Italy (about 2 miles from the hotel as well) also have a few good restaurants, but fewer other diversions as compared to Hillcrest. Finally, the Gaslamp District and Old Town are both accessible by the trolley from the hotel and are popular destinations. There are loads of restaurants in the Gaslamp and in Old Town, so only a couple are listed below.
