Transportation Information

There are many options to get from the Portland International airport to the Portland Downtown Marriott Waterfront.  They are:

Taxi: Taxis run all the time and would be approximately $30 - $35 (not including tip) from the airport to the hotel.

TRIMET: TRIMET is the main source of public transportation for many Portlanders consisting of train (i.e. MAX), streetcar, and bus services that run at scheduled times day and night.  The cost for a 1-day pass is $4.75 or  $2.30 for a 2-hour ticket.  This is also the most cost efficient way to get to the hotel from the airport.  The train from the airport will take passengers to the downtown area and then it is a 0.5 mile walk to the Portland Downtown Marriott Waterfront.  More information and detailed directions can be found at the TRIMET website.

Blue Star Transportation: Blue Star is a locally owned transportation service that provides shuttle service from the airport to the Portland Downtown Marriott Waterfront.  A one-way ticket cost $14 per person while a round-trip ticket cost $24 per person.  They take advance reservations, but one could book a shuttle service once they arrive at PDX.

1. Step outside baggage claim.

2. Take the walkway to the left.

3. Go to island #2.

4. Go to the scheduled vans and pick-up area.

The website for Blue Star Transportation can be found here.
