The SIGMAA on RUME 2018 will be held at the Renaissance Oklahoma City Convention Center Hotel

The Renaissance Oklahoma City Downtown Hotel boasts an amazing location, connected to the Cox Convention Center and just steps from popular destinations including the Bricktown Entertainment District, Chesapeake Energy Arena, Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark and more. Unwind after a long day in spacious rooms and suites with luxury bedding and modern amenities. Enjoy a great selection of delicious dishes at 10 North Grille, the on-site restaurant, or discover the variety of local restaurants nearby. You can now make your hotel accommodation for the SIGMAA on RUME 2019 Conference at the discounted rate by using the following link. Conference attendees should book their hotel rooms through this direct link, and not the hotel's general website, in order to secure the conference's discounted rates.


Special room rates for the conferences are $139 single/double plus 14.13% tax and must be reserved by January 30, 2019 in order to receive the discounted group rate.

Child Care

If you would like to support parents/guardians who are coming to the RUME conference by volunteering to help with childcare, please email Melissa Mills with the following information. You will need to complete a background check and participate in an online training to be certified to work with minors.

  1. Your name/contact information
  2. Would you like to help by providing childcare for selected sessions in which you are not presenting or attending talks (we can specify these after the schedule comes out)?
  3. If you would like to help support families, but don’t feel comfortable watching children, let us know and we can find other jobs for you as they come up!

If you are a parent or guardian who would like childcare during the RUME conference, please send an email to Melissa Mills with the following information.

  1. Your name/contact information
  2. We are considering providing childcare for selected sessions in which parents/guardians are presenting or attending talks (we can specify these after the schedule comes out). Can you approximate the total number of hours that you would need childcare at RUME?
  3. Can you specify the number of children and their age(s)?
  4. Are there any other needs that you anticipate?
