Attractions in and around Downtown

Chesapeake Energy Arena: Root on the Oklahoma City Thunder or attend a live concert at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, which is located in the heart of Downtown.

Deep Deuce: District just north of Bricktown know for its electic neighborhood hangouts from music spots to a gourmet corndog eatery in a shipping container to a whiskey club.

International Gymnastics Hall of Fame: Dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of gymnastics, the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame celebrates the sport's greatest champions with more than 75 legends and 20 different nations represented.

Myriad Botanical Gardens: With more than 1000 different species of plants from six different continents, the Myriad Botanical Gardens offers you 17 acres of exotic nature in Oklahoma City. In addition to the beautiful scenery, you will find a children's garden with story trees, climbing structure and a hedge maze.

Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum: The Memorial Museum is an interactive learning experience that takes you on a chronological self-guided tour through the story of April 19, 1995, and the days, weeks and years that followed the bombing of Oklahoma City’s Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The story tracks the remarkable journey of loss, resilience, justice and hope.

Oklahoma City Museum of Art: With the most inclusive collection of Dale Chihuly glass in the world, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art is an essential thing to do for art-lovers visiting OKC.

Oklahoma City Underground: This is a series tunnels and skywalks connect a large part of the Central Business District’s buildings and parking garages. Opened in 1974, the tunnel system is about one mile long and covers more than 20 square blocks. There is a map at the bottom of the link.

Paseo Arts District: Known for its eclectic art galleries (many attached to working artists’ studios) and shops, as well as its distinctive Spanish revival architecture, the Paseo Arts District has a bohemian vibe that’s great for exploring on foot. Situated around a curvy, tree-lined, two-block street, Paseo is home to more than 80 artists, plus shops, bars and restaurants.

National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum: Mosey on down to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum and learn about the brave pioneers who settled the West, drove cattle and helped keep the peace in the Wild West.

National Softball Hall of Fame: The National Softball Hall of Fame and Museum brings to life the history of the game of softball and its most talent players.

Oklahoma City Zoo: Rated one of the 10 best zoos in the country, the Oklahoma City Zoo is a popular thing to do with travelers of all ages. It features a wealth of activities that the kids will love, including a butterfly exhibit, elephant habitat and a Children's Zoo.

Oklahoma Firefighters Museum: Learn about the brave firefighters who have kept Oklahoma City safe in the oldest fire department in the United States with antique fire equipment, items from the Ben Franklin Collection, and other exhibits that reveals its history.

Science Museum Oklahoma: Take the kids to the Science Museum Oklahoma and enjoy a hands-on, interactive learning environment and plenty of fascinating exhibits. This is located adjacent to the OKC Zoo, if you are bringing family members who might want an all-day excursion.
