SIGMAA on RUME Literature Committee Report, January 08, 2002

The Literature Committee's main work in the past year was in building the search engine and adding more entries to the database. Eric Hsu has created the preliminary beta version of "The Better File Cabinet" - a free searchable database of references to research in math and statistics education with about two thousand entries. Using the web interface, the database is searchable by author, title, full text, and keywords. There is an ongoing effort to add commentary on the papers.

The preliminary version of the Literature Database is still available for downloading as a single, large file (.6+ megabytes) in several different formats.
